On 17 November 2016, the first meeting of the Consortium of the "4 for 1000 initiative: Soils for Food Security and Climate" was held in Marrakech (Morocco) during the COP 22, along with the first meetings of the Forum of Partners and the Scientific and Technical Committee (STC).

Among the decisions taken by this session of the Consortium is the organization in 2017 of two meetings of the Consortium. One will take place during the COP 23 in Bonn on November 16, 2017, preceded the same day by the Forum of Partners, and one in June in Montpellier devoted in particular to the review of progress of the Initiative and the recommendations of the Scientific and Technical Committee. In this regard, the CST has met for its second session in Rome at FAO headquarters, back to back to the Global Symposium on Organic Carbon at the end of March and for its third session in Montpellier on June 28, 2017. He will meet for its fourth session in Bonn on November 14-15, 2017.

This website is dedicated only to the 2nd meeting of members of the Consortium, which gathered around one hundred participants, representing members from all continents (States and public bodies, higher education and research institutes, foundations, donors, NGOs, farmer associations...). The access to documents and presentations is reserved to the members of the Initiative.

All these documents will be soon available in the extranet site reserved to the Consortium in the  "4 for 1000 initiative: Soils for Food Security and Climate" website.
